There is an opportunity to access funding from the DCSF under the Intensive Intervention Project. There is up to £650,000 for 3 years for projects that:-
- Significantly reduce anti-social behaviour
- Reduce crime
- Improve participation in education and training
- Tackle substance misuse
- Reduce homelessness
Walsall Council’s Children’s Services is interested in partnering with voluntary and community organisations offering services to young people aged 10 - 17 years who get into serious trouble, and operating in the borough of Walsall. The Council needs to submit an Expression of Interest by 8th August 2008 and therefore needs to select potential partner(s) to attend the first planning meeting.. If your organisation delivers services that meet the above mentioned expectations of the Intensive Intervention Project and you are interested in joining this partnership please complete the attached Project Proposal Template and return to:-

A representative from your organisation must be available to attend the first planning meeting on Wednesday 30th July 2008 at 11.30am - Venue - Walsall Council, Town Hall. Lichfield Street. Walsall. Attendance at this meeting is imperative to be included in the next stage of this application process.
