Walsall Commission for Social Care Inspection 2008Published in News,WVA News on 24th July, 2008
WVA are bringing some good news to the sector in relation to Walsall’s up coming Commission For Social Care Inspection (CSCI) review taking place in August. These kinds of reviews are intensive and aimed at highlighting areas for improvment. The positive thing we would like to report to the sector is the open approach which Walsall have taken this year which is quite different from other areas, and a far more open approach which is to be welcomed. WVA and other community based groups such as the Disability Forum have been invited to share our views at the table discussing partnership working as part of the review.
It has been welcome that there has been an open approach towards any kind of input from the sector quite different from other authorities that we have heard about, there is no doubt that there will always be work to be done and improvments made, stronger relationships to be developed etc but this is evidence that the Council and partners want to see the sector around the table and bringing its views with them. If you would like to discuss this up coming CSCI review with us please contact Ian Willetts at WVA. We are keen to hear your views so we can feed them through into processes such as this.
