Expert Panels are one off topic focused meetings that hekp to achive Walsall’s Local Area Agreement targets by recognising that Voluntary and Community Sector Organsiations are the Experts in their area of service delivery.  Expert Panels exist to improve service delivery from the Voluntary and Community Sector and are for Voluntary and Community Sector organsiations of all sizes. Each Expert Panel aims to pull VCS service deliverers together in topic focused meetings to address challenges faced in Walsall in a pro-active manner and have several benifits that include sharing information, presenting an opportunity to better understand challenges faced by service providers and for solutions to these to be developed in part through the promotion of effective partnership working.  They also aim to help raise the standard of service delivery from the Voluntary and Community Sector local communities through the sharing of best practice and public whilst they also aim to educate.  Finally, they ensure that Walsall Voluntary Action , as the organsiation that represents Voluntary and Community Sector Organsiations in Walsall, continues to provide quality services that meet the needs of our partners in the sector.

 The Expert Panel on Children and Young People’s Services is soley aimed at Voluntary and Community Sector organisations delivering services to Children and Young People in Walsall.  Should your organisation  nogt be delivering services to this target group then please look out for other Expert Panels in topical areas related to your organsiations area of work that will be coming soon. 

Please note that places to attend the Expert Panel on Children and Young People’s Services are limited and to attend places MUST BE RESERVED for catering purposes and to ensure that the venue arranged for each meeting is able to adequatly cater for our requirments.

The Expert Panel on Childen and Young People’s Services will take place on Tuesday 16th September 2008 at Street Star Academy, Pool Street, Walsall, WS1 2EN.

Walsall Voluntary Action in partnership with Children’s Services is pleased to annouce the one off Bright Ideas Grants Scheme for groups delivering services to Children and Young People in Walsall.  Further information about this new funding programme will be available at the Expert Panel on the 16th of September 2008.
