News on new grant funding:
1. CAMPAIGNING GRANTS
The Government has announced a £750,000 scheme for small charities to identify and promote ways for the third sector to campaign for the most disadvantaged people in society. The new scheme, to be run by Capacitybuilders, will be developed and delivered over two years to support up to 30 groups. 2. TARGETED SUPPORT FUND
A one year £15 million programme, aimed at small charities in 50 specified areas of England considered to be most at risk of increased deprivation during the recession, has opened for grant applications. Local services with an annual income of £30,000 to £250,000 will be able to apply to their nearest local funder for grants of £10,000 to £40,000. 3. EQUALITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION GRANT PROGRAMME
The Equality and Human Rights Commission has announced a £10 million grant programme for voluntary and community sector organisations that provide guidance, advice and advocacy in areas such as education, health and employment and increasing cooperation between people experiencing tensions, or groups providing legal advice and awareness of legal rights.

The Commission have produced a range of Codes of Practice and Guidance documents to help with interpreting the Equality Bill 2008-09 on a practical basis have been produced and a consultation to identify the type of guidance that would be most comprehensive, useful and accessible to stakeholders has been launched at:
