The Government Office for the West Midlands are hosting a special event for organisations interested in bidding to the Future Jobs Fund on Friday 16 October. The £1billion fund, which was announced in the April Budget, is designed to create 150,000 new jobs for young people and people living in unemployment hotspots.  At the same time, the Future Jobs Fund can help private and voluntary organisations tackle significant recruitment needs and support communities.

This event is a chance to find out more about the Fund and how you can benefit jobseekers, your own organisation and the wider community.  Attendees will hear about:

  • How the Future Jobs Fund works.
  • What makes a good bid.
  • What is already planned for the region and where new jobs are most needed.

There will also be the opportunity to explore how you might team up with others in developing new bids, or join with the partnerships already formed for the Future Jobs Fund.
