Age Concern Walsall currently have an exciting new vacancy as part of consortium working with other key voluntary sector organisations within the borough, including Walsall Disability Forum, Caldmore, Black Sisters, BADG and Walsall SUE.
Salary – £18,250 per annum
Contract – Fixed-Term for 12 months
The post will broadly require: -
- - A comprehensive understanding of issues that can affect older people
- - An ability to pursue problems and individual concerns
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- - An ability to provide low level support on a short-term basis
- - An ability to work on own initiative
- - Experience of partnership working
- - A flexible working approach
Many older people are becoming socially isolated through lack of access to day care and other support facilities. Â Age Concern and the Consortium members believe that the support of the Outreach Worker will provide a key service to enable individuals to access a variety of services and activities across the borough.
