Child and Family Support Worker – Walsall Bereavement Support ServicePublished in WVA News on 16th November, 2009

Walsall Bereavement Support Service is seeking an enthusiastic, competent and flexible individual capable of providing group and individual counselling/support to bereaved children and families from the Walsall community.The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Counselling with at least 150 hours therapy experience and some IT skills. Possessing a sound knowledge of child development, the candidate will be able to apply creative interventions whilst working with a child’s understanding and response to bereavement. The nature of the role necessitates outreach working in schools and family homes; therefore use of own vehicle is essential.

The salary for this role will be £20,846 pro rata for 20hrs, plus mileage allowance and contributory pension scheme.  The position is based in Walsall.
