The Government has announced a pre-consultation on proposed revisions to the ”Working Together to Safeguard Children” statutory guidance.

The revisions are part of the response to Lord Laming’s recent progress report on the protection of children in England, which put forward a series of recommendations to further strengthen and improve child protection procedures. 

The pre-consultation paper has been issued by the Department of Children, Schools and Families and sets out how the revisions will take forward Lord Laming’s recommendations.  Responses are welcomed from all interested parties and should be submitted to the Department by 17 December.
