More dates have been announced for a new Information Roadshow for Walsall’s older and disabled residents.The roadshow, which has been arranged by a consortium of eight local voluntary organisations, will provide free advice to help older people get the care and support they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.  A wide range of experts will be on hand, giving information on essential services and activities.

The roadshow timetable is as follows (all sessions are from 10am – 2pm):

Wednesday 13 January: People’s Partnership Centre, Wing Close, Bentley, Walsall, WS2 0LS  CANCELLED due to adverse weather conditions.

Friday 22 January: Blakenall Community Association, Blakenall Row, Walsall WS3 1LW

Wednesday 3 February: Burrowes Street TMO Community Room, Burrows Street, Walsall WS2 8NN

Wednesday 17 February: Sure Start, Ilmington House, Crescent Road, Darlaston, Wednesbury WS10 8AE

Wednesday 10 March: Black & Asian Disability Group, Broadway North Centre, 156 Broadway North, Walsall WS1 2QA

Wednesday 31 March: St. Mary’s The Mount RC Church, Vicarage Walk, Walsall WS1 3NF

Wednesday 7 April: Willenhall Chart Trust Group, 19 Gomer Street, Willenhall WV13 2NS

Wednesday 28 April: Palfrey Community Association, Milton Street, Palfrey, Walsall WS1 3JY

Wednesday 12 May: Alumwell Business & Enterprise College, Primley Avenue, Walsall WS2 9UA

Wednesday 26 May: Forest Arts Centre, Hawbush Road, Leamore, Walsall WS3 1AG

Wednesday 9 June: Walsall Deaf People’s Centre, 59a Lichfield Street, Walsall WS4 2BX

Wednesday 24 June: Kingsley Fellowship Klub, 1 Kingsley Street, Pleck, Walsall WS2 9QY

Wednesday 7 July: St. Thomas More Catholic School, Darlaston Lane, Willenhall WV14 7BL

Thursday 22 July: Central Hall Methodist Church, Ablewell Street, Walsall WS1 2EQ

Thursday 12 August: Walsall Black Sisters, 17-19 Wednesbury Road, Walsall WS1 3RU.

The roadshows are being co-ordinated by Age Concern Walsall, DIAL, Caldmore Housing, Walsall Deaf Centre, Walsall Black Sisters, Walsall Disability Forum, BADG (Black and Asian Disability Group), Walsall SUE (Service Users Empowerment).
