Include Me TOO is seeking a creative and energetic Short Breaks Outreach Participation Officer to provide advice, support and guidance on short break provision in Wolverhampton City to BME and other marginalised communities, disabled children, young people and their families.The role is fixed contract, initially for 1 year with the possibility of an extension dependant on further funding and carries a salary of £19,621. The successful applicant will be working 37 hours per week.
Include Me TOO is a national charity based in Wolverhampton. The organisation champions and promotes social justice and equality for all disabled children and young people; increasing involvement, participation and representation of BME disabled children and their families and other marginalised communities in local areas.
The duties of this position are to:
- Increase access to short breaks provision and facilitate, improve and support the smooth seamless access to short break provision in Wolverhampton for these families.
- Enhance the confidence of BME parents and carers so that their views regarding short breaks provisions in Wolverhampton City are valued and taken into account.
- Work in partnership with all stakeholders, planning and organising events and consultations.
- Develop the skills of BME and other marginalised communities, disabled children, young people and their families as short breaks peer supporters and buddies.
