Working Together for mental health recoveryPublished in Featured,Local News,News on 11th June, 2010

Working Together is an Intermediate Labour Market project that supports Walsall people recovering from mental health issues back into work in a practical way.

The project is run by the Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.  It sources appropriate placements for beneficiaries and then pays them the minimum wage to work at the placement for up to 15 hours per week over 26 weeks.

The beneficiaries undertake real work in a value added role within the placement. They do not replace current or recent workers but may do tasks that either support other employees or provide additional capacity for the organisation.

The project already have beneficiaries involved in a wide range of activities, including developmental, community and support work within agencies as well as acting in an administration support role.

For more details about this project, please feel free to call Adrian Garbett, ILM Project Lead, on 0121 526 5663 or 07818454254 or e-mail Adrian.Garbett@dwmh.nhs.uk.   An information leaflet can also be accessed by clicking here.
