Important changes to children’s safeguarding proceduresPublished in Featured,Local News,News on 20th August, 2010

Walsall’s Safeguarding Children Board wish to make local organisations aware of some changes to procedures, in response to the Working Together to Safeguard Children guidelines.

A new Child Protection Referral Form, WSCB1 has been introduced, which should be used for all referrals to the Initial Response Service (IRS).  The form also contains a feedback section, so that the IRS can inform referrers about the outcome of enquiries.  Copies are available in the appendix to the Safeguarding Children Board’s procedures manual, which can be found on their website here.
