Volunteering

Get involved and make a difference!

Would you like to put something back into your community?  Maybe you want to learn a new skill, gain hands on experience or share your knowledge and experience with others?  Walsall Voluntary Action can provide you with opportunities that meet your needs. Volunteering is very fulfilling whatever your age, skills or circumstances may be.

So don’t delay, register your interest today!  Simply fill in our Volunteer Registration Form by following the link here, then email the completed form to reception@walsallva.org.uk.  We can then match you up with the best opportunities for you.

You can also view a selection of local opportunities on our site or visit the Do It website for a wider range of opportunities.

Does your organisation need new volunteers?

Volunteers are the life blood of any voluntary or community group and it is difficult to source new volunteers alone when you have enough to do just running the day to day business.   That’s where Walsall Voluntary Action can help you, by matching you with the volunteers you need!

To get started, simply download our Organisation Registration form by following the link here.  If you have a specific opportunity you would like to advertise, make sure you complete our Register an Opportunity form too!  Once that’s done, email your completed form back to reception@walsallva.org.uk and we can begin to work to match volunteers with your organisation’s needs.

There is also an excellent series of briefing papers and guidance notes for organisations that use volunteers available from the Volunteering England Website which can be found by following the link here.

Looking for the right opportunity?  Try our Volunteer Fridays!

“Volunteer Fridays” are a series of new, weekly “drop-in” events for people who want to volunteer, but want advice and support to find the best voluntary role for them.

Running between 10am and 12noon each Friday, the sessions will take place at Walsall Voluntary Action’s town centre offices in Bridge Street.  Members of the Walsall Voluntary Action team will be on hand to provide information, guidance and support to would-be volunteers about the options available, help them to search a database containing details of thousands of volunteer opportunities and assist them in making contact with local voluntary groups.

To take part in a Volunteer Friday session, please book an appointment by calling 01922 619840.
